Where is the high pressure oil line on the head located on a 2000 Ford F-250 7.3L Diesel. And is it hard to reapir? Bad oil leak.Thank you. Rev.Michael

Most oil leaks on this engine occur in the valley of the engine at the back of the oil pump. If you look directly down into the center of the engine infront of the turbo you will see the back of the pump and the potential leaks at the plugs on the pump and the output lines to the heads.

03 ford powerstroke fuel lk. on top of engine, behind the fuel filter housing, fuel sits on top of valley area. can't see any lk. must be slow. cleaned area, can't see any lk.

It ended up being the fuel filter housing drain / shut-off valve. waited for the engine to cool overnight/started engine & rechecked immediatly before engine started warming up & it leaked immediatly. It apparently was a cold only leak. thanks for your attention..

Fuel leak under turbo on 1997 ford 7.3 , changed fuel lines from filter still getting leak on intake manifold.

Is the fuel in the valley right under the fuel pump? If so, your fuel pump might have failed and is leaking out of the weep hole.

Other places to look would be the fuel filter seal and a bad o-ring in the fuel drain relief valve.

Good luck

97 fuel leaking under turbo

Your fuel pump is located in the vally before you turbo. Going from your fuel pump to the back of your truck you will have two lines that go to the back of each head. With a light look from underneath your truck and make sure on leaks from there. Also remember your Valley has a drain in the back Pass. corner. My fuel pump weep hole was leaking but while changing that I went and replaced all rubber hoses at the same time.

1996 turbo deisel fuel and oil leak.

The fuel pump is located under the turbo on that truck. It is most likley washing sediment/old fluids out of the vally of toyr engine. It is also driven by a push rod that ths cam drives, so the lower pump o-ring may be leaking too. You can change the fuel pump without pulling the turbo. Good Luck

Oil Leak under the turbo on top of the valley baffle

ok ive experienced this same problem, my dad has the same year truck as u.first year powerstroke, you have to remove the turbo, there will be one bolt in the turbo stand, u will need a 10mm universal joint for a 1/4 inch drive ratchet, to remove it, but under the turbo stang there will be 2 O rings, replace those and u will be set to go.

What tools do you need to replace a 1997 Ford F250 diesel fuel pump?

nothing special, its in the valley, probably have to remove the fuel bowl and the turbo pedastal to get access to it.
book value from navistar / ford is a 4 hour job.
better have a good ladder and a plywood sheet to lay on up in the engine bay.
