The process should take no more than 2 hours. Depending on your skill set and available tools. Some Wheel bearings must be pressed on with a shop press. And some simply bolt on the biggest issue with these are taking off the axle nut which requires a decent size socket and a breaker bar or an air gun. Most axle nuts are under pretty hefty torque specs 90+ foot pounds.
Check and test fuse no.3 10amp if okay find the back-up lamp switch on the trans axle. Disconnect the wiring connector check for power at the red wire if power is present jumper the wiring connector -if the light works-replace the back up switch.
Yes it will, but you need to make sure that the engine and transmission bolt patterns are the same. The drive axles might not fight the splines of the '99 front splindels. The lenghts of the drive axles might be different as well. Other than that you should be able to replace it.
does it make noise? if so, dont waste you rtime, replace the complete axle. take wheel off, take lower ball joint loose, take off big nut in middle of wheel hub, now push axle through while lifting the spindle up, notwthe axle will come out of hub, now you will need to pry the other end out to get it to come loose, there is a small clip holding it in. you should really have a person experienced do this, it should take maybe .5 -1.0 hr

The official front jacking points are on the reinforced edge of the unit body, just behind the front wheels.
If you're using a hydraulic jack, you can jack the front of the car from the front tow hook, place your axle stands under the front jack points, then let the car down onto the axle stands.
Always use axle stands when working on your car, never trust the jack alone.
u will need to remove the brake cailper and the the brake rotor, then the hub retaining nut, that is a large metric nut, the bearing and hub must come off, then u will need to take this hub to a machine shop or the dealer and have the new bearing pressed in.
