The stereo is needing a code to put in before it will work. It should be in the owners manual. If not, you will have to check with a dealer who may provide a code for a small fee. You will need proof of ownership of the car.
The Dealer will have all the information to give to you and will give you a code to keep in the car with the Owners Manual for future needs. Any time the battery is disconnected or changed, if you don't put a power saver source in the lighter socket, you will loose the stereo memory. Each car has their own secret code for the stereo in it, it's not something anyone else would know.
if you had the original code you were able to change the code to your own,so if someone has changed the code, your fu....either repair or replace with a decent unit.(repairs cost more than a new unit.)
If all else fails, give dealer service dept, a quick call & explain, I'm sure they wouldn't mind refreshing your memory on how to proceed if not explained in owners manual.
