Ket not releasing from ignition

This could possibly be one of two things. An old, worn ignition key or a faulty shift/park solenoid.
If you are going to replace the key DON'T recut the key you are using now as you are only copying a Bad key. Get a brand new key from the Dealership. You will need the VIN number to do it.
The solenoid is located on the side of the gear shifter housing under the centre console so you will need to remove it to get access to it.

IGNITION KEY WILL NOT RELEASE

It can be faulty ignition lock cylinder. I suggest to wiggle the steering wheel a bit and see if the key gets released out. If that is not helping then first turn steering wheel to right and try removing the key, or next turn steering wheel to left and see if you can remove the key.

Spray wd-40 in the ignition key hole and let it remain there for few minutes, after that once again try to remove the key and see if that helps.

But if that is not helping then ignition lock cylinder has to be removed out and key has to be manually removed.

Your vehicle is fitted with an electronic ignition key lock.
they are in place to prevent you from removing the key when the vehicle is still in gear/not in park or park brake not applied, some foot not on brake ect.

They are activated by a small electric solenoid on the back of the ignition barrel.

You could have a faulty ignition barrel, solenoid or ECU signal lost or parameters are not being met,eg. vehicle still in gear.

Need to remove the plastic under steering wheel and you will see a lock. whit a screw driver push it and turn the key.put some oil 123 or grease.att:Teo

This sounds like a worn ignition cylinder lock, first try another key and see if its a worn key, if that doesnt help then its the lock and you can try spraying a little wd 40 into the key hole and then putting the ket in and turning if a few times, you will also need to remove and insert key a dew times, maybe its just sticking tumblers in the lock but if not then the lock will need replacing. good day.

If you are turning the ket to off,and removing it,then the ignition switch is bad.If you are removing the key in the run position ,then the lock anf key cylinder is bad.

lock the car using the key to reset the alarm
