How to replace temperature sensor in vW golf citi 1.4i 2006

I am driving VW Citi golf sport 1.4i,every morning whn is cold my car couldn't start, after many attempts it would and when I try to accelerate it will choke. After buying the temperature sensor my problem was solved. the mechanics advised me to buy petrol filter and petrol gauge regulator and a petrol pump, thanks I didn't buy them. Only a temperature sensor made my car a comfortable drive.

Golf GT Tdi 115 - performance when warm.

you dont say what miles the car has done.but you should now be using semi synthetic 20/50 oil and try using a fuel additive(redex/wynns)to clean the injectors.if you are using oil it is possible that the engine has lost some of its compression due to ring/valve wear.did you know that to convert your engine to a 130/150bhp unit, you only need to change the ecu try"diesel tuning"website.....

I need timing settings for Golf 1.6 carb 2000 model. the engine code is HM. Can you confirm if it is 6 degrees or 18 degrees.

For VW Golf Eng.code HM 1.6 1985-89 year is 6/950 rpm without vacuum & basic timing-BTDC. This is on sea level.

Installing the distributor on a 1996 vw golf

easy this one, take rocker cover off ,thent turn engine till timing mark of front pulley lines up,make sure the valves on no1 cylinder are closed and no4 are open .turn rotor arm on dist so it points to roughly no 1 lead an vac unit is clear of any thing it can touch ,fit distributor and place cap on so you can see which connector the rotor is pointing too the make that no1 ,and firing aoder is 1342.Fire up engine ,should start straight away ??then by moving distributor a little to either side till rpm goes up then back it off a bit and you should be about right for the timing ,if it pinks on acceleration a bit ****** it a little bit more .Make sure the vac advance unit works if fitted by sucking on the little pipe and then hold tongue on the end of the pipe and the vacumn should stay their .but this is a later model and i dont think it has a vacumn advance unit

VAG17832 P1424: Secondary Air Inj. Sys., Bank1 Leak Detected

Check all hoses from the secondary air pump to your air filter housing if they are locked and in place. If they are somewhat hooked up you will get false air flow data and cause a DTC to appear and probably a CEL will come on in the instrument cluster.
