if it is a hex, with emphasis on the if. it's a 7mm. most of these are torx bits or what some call a star bit. take a real close look at it to make sure that the are flat or rounded and then come to a point. also count the points, the torx has 6 points and the hex only has 5. easy to confuse the 2 in poor light or really dirty conditions. make sure to use the correct size of the correct tool before applying any force to the tool or you may strip out the head of the bolt making it all but impossible (nothing is impossible with the right tools) to remove. i believe it is a T40, but like i said make sure it's right, if the T 40 feels just a little loose then try a T 45.
