How can i disconnect the immobiliser on my rover 45

has your car got the round plip ? if so and you have checked the batteries and it locks and unlocks the car but does not disarm the security system the problem could be the scu which is located on the lh bulkhead/ footwell area inside the car and is prone to water damage, it is not easy to disconnect the imobilizer because it works in conjuction with the engine control module which needs a ok to start signal from the scu before you can start. if its the older type plip, you can disable the immobilizer by using the key access code which you should have in your handbook/info pack. this involves turning the drivers door lock in both directions a number of times to match the code, if this info does not help you need to find somone with rover testbook or t4 diagnostic equipment, hope this helps.

Service immobilier light on car died out

If there is a blinking car icon with an "X" over it. This icon means the Immobilizer has been activated and hence won't allow the car to start. It could be due to a bad SCU, Start Control Unit. The SCU is actually the ignition switch on these cars.
Most of the time it's triggered by the anti-theft system..You can try this trick i learned that the dealers won't tell you...try locking and unlocking of the doors five times with the remote to reset the immobilizer and see if this helps.
Good luck..i hope this helps...please take a minute to rate me a fixya.

Mgzs horn not working checked fuses

Own an MG Rover built after August 2003? Is one of the following not working:
Horn? Drivers electric window? Central Locking? Fog lights? Intermittent wipers?
It is very likely going to be one or several of the Pektron relays in the SCU unit that have gone. The relays are readily available for about £5 each on the web. It can all be fixed in under a day with some soldering tools, sockets, patience and perseverance.
Such a shame one small component, not even made by Rover, have just a detrimental effect on electrical reliability.
Here we fix a 2004 MG ZR but the Pektron relay are also used in the MG ZS, Rover 25 45 and MGF, so the general instructions are also applicable to them. Just the location of the SCU unit will vary.
On the MG ZR with a/c most garages will say the a/c has to be degassed etc (more cost) but here we leave the a/c connected. The SCU unit can just about be wiggled out from behind the a/c evaporator(radiator) unit with it still connected if some of the pipes clamps are loosened.

How to set clock

Go to ebay spend a couple bucks to buy an owner's manual for the vehicle, put it in the glove box.
Open the glove box, pull out the owner's manual and look in the index under radio and/or clock, note page numbers.
Turn to that page and select the type of radio/clock you have and follow the instructions to set the clock.
Drink a small bottle of wine, smoke a joint and ponder why you could not figure this out yourself.

Location of fusebox on 1980 corvette

Fuses are located in the junction box below the instrument panel to the left of the steering column. The turn signal flasher and hazard warning flasher also plug into the fuse block. Each fuse receptacle is marked as to the circuit it protects and the correct amperage of the fuse. In line fuses are also used. Refer to the Fuse Chart at the end of the information for their location. The fuse block on some models is a swing-down unit located in the underside of the instrument panel adjacent to the steering column. Access to the fuse block on some models is gained through the glove box opening. The Convenience Center on some models is a swing-down unit located on the underside of the instrument panel. The swing-down feature provides central location and easy access to buzzers, relays and flasher units. All units are serviced by plug-in replacement. Location of Convenience Center on specific models may vary.
