Losing power and skipping wont pull up an incline

Has a build up of carbon, leaky injectors or both, If there is a repair shop that uses interject near you they can fix this with their product without dismantling .

Could be a fuel system problem - starving for fuel under load. I would check the system (fuel pump, filter, etc.).

If you keep the RPMS (tach) up to 3000 and above (DONT REDLINE YOU'LL BLOW YER MOTOR UP!) At 3000 RPM to 3500 -4000 RPM is where these motors posses what i figure is a power band that handles most inclines. Down shifting included. DRIVE SAFE

Do a diagnostic scan.

How old is your exhaust system? Do you seem to lose power faster on an incline? Sounds like your exhaust is restricted and the main culprit usually is the catalytic converter. Try having your local repair shop do an emissions test. Hope that might help you.

Check your service record for the last fuel filter change. 2 years or less is the recommended interval.

Top off you fuel tank to 1/2 or higher. A weak/failing fuel pump will give losing power condition on hill / high altitude / hot day.

Check the injectors and return lines (top of the injector) for leaks.

When was your last valve adjustment?
Head adjustment should be 1-2 years.

i think its your computer. but first chek your alternator

Sounds like a bad plug wire or coil.

fuel filter replaced? try that. a fuel restriction could cause it
