High rev when starting hyundai atos

Hi.
My wife's Hyundai Atos has very high RPM and sound after starting the engine. After some seconds/minute RPM goes down to the normal level but when you push a bit gas RPM goes up and stays on a higher level after stop pushing gas. After some seconds RPM goes down again. When the engine is hot I don't meet with the above mentioned happening.

Check the vacuum hoses, but sounds like the IAC or even the o2 sensors. The computer will pick up on the o2 sensors but not the IAC..Go to your local ADVANCE store and they will check on computer for free :)

move you to Hyundai Atos prime.

buy new knobs from Hyundai dealer or Hyundai online. dot com.
or ask any car repair shop to fix it.

Hi there, it could be a change of spark plugs will solve your problems. I'm driving one too but found that it jerked when accelerating. So I read up and presumed that the old plugs might be the cause. After changing new spark plugs, it doesn't jerk anymore.
