SOURCE: tyre rubing inner wheel arch
There are updated steering stops for the rack system that will alleviate this problem.
But it is a give and take situation, because it will reduce your turning radius even more.
SOURCE: remove front wheel
Sometimes when wheels haven't been removed for an extended period of time road and weather elements corrode or rust the wheel and the hub it installs onto. The only fix for this once it has happened it brute force, Once you have the wheel off the ground you should support it with a jackstand or put some wooden blocks under the subframe so that if anything happens the vehicle will not hit the ground. Next you will want a large RUBBER faced mallet or hammer, strike the tire itself not the wheel and this should loosen the stuck wheel. Myself if I don't have the right hammer I have sat on my bottom and kicked the wheel usually with success. Another option if your wheels are equipped with is look for a smaller hole usually closer to the center of the wheel with threads on them, these holes are there to help with your problem, locate some bolts with the correct thread pitch for the holes in your wheel and thread them into the holes, next take a wrench or socket and alternate these bolts with a couple of turns each until the wheel has come away from the hub enough that it is loose enough to be removed. You may want to try and clean up the mating surfaces with a die grinder or some scotch pad abraisive pads before reinstalling the wheels. Hope this helps.
