2002 Sunfire guages quit working

When you replaced the fuel pump, did you disconnect the battery? If you did, did you reset the security system and engine immobilizer?

depending on the engine size if it is a 2.2l or a 2.4l and if it is manual or automatic

The "check engine" light is for emissions related items, not normal maintence items. If it is on then there is a problem that needs to be addressed, but no not changing the oil will not make the check engine light turn on.

Have you tried replacing the bulbs? My daytime/low beams work after replacing the bulbs

you probably blew a fuse when you changed the battery.

Check all the fuses. if you have the owners manual it will tell you the location of the fuses and which ones relate to the gauges.

Inst cluster is bad.

Check fuses first.

there is a couple of things you can do ,, reset you computer take the hot wire off your battery for 5 min. then if that dont work check transmission fuild,, dirty trans fuild cause transmission not to down shift and stall

hi..the transaxle converter clutch . tcc. uses a solenoid -operated valve located in the automatic transaxle to mechanically couple the engine flywheel to the output shaft of the transmission through the torque converter.that reduces the slippage loss in the converter.reducing emissions.but check the vss first.which is called the vehicle speed sensor.they both work together .if the vss is not working right it wont call on the tcc.

From 2003 to 2006 GM - chevy , pontiac , buick , cadillac , had bad step motors inside the instrument clusters , causing gauges to no work or sporadically . Happened to my 2005 chevy cavalier , went to automotive salvage yard ,got a used one for $20.00 buck's . That was two year's ago , now problems !

Or you can buy the up graded stepper motors on eBay an fix it .
