SOURCE: how do you install a block heater on a chevy aveo 2006?

A block heater is installed in one of the freeze plug ports in your block. Drain your cooling system. Then drill a small hole i the center of the freeze plug and screw a self tapping screw into the hole. You can the use a claw hammer or something similar to pull the freeze plug. Then you just install the block heater in the freeze plug's place. Refill your cooling system and let it get up to full temperature checking carefully for leaks. Please rate my answer.

SOURCE: replace alternator 2008 aveo

disconnect negative battery cable. Then remove rubber boot on altenator. Remove nut and cable attached. Unplug and remove wire harness also attached to altenator.
Loosen and remove both bolts holding on altenator.
Remove altenator.
Reverse process to reinstall. Pry on belt tensioner with pry bar and socket to loosen belt and place on altenator pulley after it is installed.
Last reattach battery cable and start vehicle.
