Checked all fuses and relays. there ok. changed the wiperblade motor out. when i plugged it in and tested it before i put it in, it worked. then after getting it all back together. it was dead. i took the motor back and got another just in case that motor was bad but still nothing. i would hate to change the switch out if is a ground problem. what do you think?
There is also a box inside the radio compartment area where the radio mounts that has the door open / key in ignition alarm. If someone unplugged this to disable the annoying ding ding ding; it will also disable the wipers. I wouldn't want to tell on myself but I guess I just did.
Inspect the plug connector for damage somtimes the pins bend over and don't mate with the female end. Then check the plug for power present with a voltmeter this will tell you for sure if the switch is working, set the voltmeter to dc 10 amp touch negative (black) to a ground , turn ignition key and wiper switch on then touch the red probe to each terminal in the plug there should be 12 - 14 volts present from one of the terminals in the plug.
If you have a ground problem it is very easy to check.Take a wire about 10 guage or 12 is ok. Ground one end and turn on the wiper, now ground the wiper with your new ground. If it works attach your new ground wire and secure it.If this does not work then you should use a test light to test for power going from the relay to the motor.
