The generator was running fine for about an hour then it ran out of gas i filled the tank and when i tried to start it it wont turn i tried to pull the cord to start it andit wont pull out

i would say that you have a bad fuel pump or if you have a carb on it the float inside the carb is stuck check these and i'm sure you will find it's one of these.

You need to have your engine flushed and cleaned out. One or more of your spark plugs aint firing. You need to replace them all to include the wires as well. If you dont get your engine flushed, you could blow your engine up.

the fuel pump boot is full of debree off the bottom of the tank. two ways to fix the prob. 1 dont run it out of gas anymore, or 2 drop the fuel tank and clean it out

i believe you have a faulty fuel pump relay and/or fuel filter. try filter first it's cheaper

SOURCE: car won't start without adding gas to air intake then won't idle

Check the fuel filter, you may have clogged it when you filled the tank.
