This sounds like an electrical 'short', a bad earth connection or a faulty sensor. The car will have shut down because the vehicle diagnostics have detected a problem that the system has listed as 'serious'. This is a 'Safe' or 'Limp Home' mode to protect the vehicle's engine and electronics.
You should get it scanned for Trouble codes as this is one of the easier ways to find electrical issues. Modern vehicles have a silly number of electronic sensors in them any of which can cause problems when they start to fail.
Unfortunately, unless you have your own OBD2 scanner you will have to pay for the diagnostic scan. Ask at 4 or 5 different places as the prices charged can be VERY different.
These trouble codes will give clues as to where the issue is likely to be. If you get the codes comment below and I'll try to help explain them.
Vehicle should still be under warranty , unless you bought it used . We are not clairvoyant ,without looking at it , couldn't say what's wrong for sure . I'd only be guessing . Sounds like you haven't much knowledge about automobiles . Your best bet , have it towed to a qualified repair shop .

Similar issue on my 2013 taurus. Died on me one day and wouldn't even crank. Advancetrac Service, 911 assist unavailable, sometimes braking system faults and just about every light on the dash illuminated. No codes. The problem was the Run/Start relay (Start/Run??). Swapped it with the windshield wiper relay to verify. Car started but the wipers didn't work. Replaced the Relay for $25 from AutoZone.
It sounds like the connecting rod popped out of its plastic connector. Pull the door panel off and check both ends of the rod. It must be unhooked at one end or the other.
