Which is the better fuel pump??? Airtex, ACDelco or Delphi

just try to make sure the earth strap is tight ,should still be good

I have seen the airtex become a very reliable pump over the last 10 years i would have little concern using it

you have to remove the power steering pump,
1- remove the belt
2- turn power steering pulley to see hidden bolt behind the pulley
3- you do not need to move the hoses
4- there is a 10mm bolt hold the sensor,
5- after removing the bolt just twist back and forth to loosen it and pull it out,disconnect the wiring harness.

if you take the time to drop the fuel tank you might as well replace the fuel pump module. this will come with a new fuel pump and level sending unit. DO NOT USE AN AIRTEX brand. they will leave you with more problems! Get an a/c delco or delphi pump. make sure to replace the fuel filter at the same time.

No but if you order one from www.rockauto.com you can save yourself about $100.00 cheaper than your local autoparts.I would only get either the Airtex brand,Delphi,Spectra Premium or AC Delco brands any other brand and you're taking a chance of it not working.

sounds like the fuel pump or regulator issue. fuel is draining back to the tank. try turning the ignition on and off 3 times without cranking the engine, then try to start it. If that works, replace the pump assembly, filter and regulator. airtex or delphi makes a great replacement alternative to an actual toyota part, and is much less money. Happy Motoring.

yep buy the best brand pump in the house delphi pump.it will last longer.you wont be replacing it again in 6 months.besure to replace fuel filter.

They have problems with Airtex pumps on GM's(Trust me). Go to a Carquest Auto Parts Store. They can get you or will have in stock a Delphi fuel pump(OEM). That will solve the problem.

no. the relay has nothing to do with your problem. have someone check your psi on your fuel pump pressure. it could be the beginning of fuel pump problems.(GM was notorius on these models). Do not; I repeat, do not allow an Airtex pump on your car. You will have problems if you do. Carquest carries Delphi(OEM) pumps. Trust nothing but those.
