Have broken dipstick 05caravan but still have peice of plastic tip on dipstick now how can I get it out????

Do Not do that!! Anything foreign in the sump is a really bad idea.It way make its way to the oil pickup screen and partially block the flow of oil.This has the potential to damage your engine. At the bottom of the dipstick tube is usually a small bolt that attaches the tube to the side of the engine.I would remove this and see if I can fish it out then.Failing this you will have to drop the oil pan and get it that way.I know this may seem like a trivial thing but the potential is there to do a lot of damage.
If bits of plastic get past the screen and get into your engine any cost to get the stick out will seem very minor. good luck

Shouldn't be to hard. Find where the sleeve is connected to the side of the engine. Usually one bolt. Remove the bolt. Remove dipstick sleeve from your engine. Then you can use a wire hanger from the other end to push it up. Or down which ever is easiest..

take the panel and the plastic sheathing off and look for the door lacth you might need a flashlight it might be that the latch came loose from the plastic piece that holds it in or the plastic peice is broken if it is get a new one

Yes it does have a screen. If the actual dipstick is metal you could install a magnetic drain plug in the oil pan & you would likely find that piece attached to it next oil change. 95% chance it won't cause you any grief. if it is a plastic dipstick you won't have to worry about it at all.

My 97 Jag done that and I found a plastic peice broken in the front right rail. It would open and close to. The broken peice just pulled it down to seal. They said it would cost $800 to $1200 to fix it. I took some black electrical tape and put around it to stop the air leaking.

My 99 passat has a plastic tip on the end , about 1 and 1/2 inches long. I doubt anything is wearing it down , thinking it might have broken off. Should be able to find one at an autowrecker for only a couple of bucks.

depends how far up the break is!

when the gas door is open, there is bent spring which is held in place with a piece of cheap plastic.  You can find this in the middle of the door on the hindge side.  The spring has broken off of this plastic peice.  Just get another one from the dealer and snap it into place.
