If leaking at the caliper side, make sure the 2 copper gaskets are installed. One on each side of the bolt that goes through the brake hose. If leaking on the fitting side, make sure the connection is tight and there are no burrs on the flare of the line causing it to not seat properly

SOURCE: how to replace front brake hose for 1989 toyota

I am always cautious when helping folks with brake issues. THEY ARE LIFE AND DEATH components. Please, If you have never done this proceedure before, and have a good knowledge of this area, consult a qualified technician; and YES, consider the brakes as a "Closed system", any breach of that system such as the removal of a hose, or line will require the purging of any air that is introduced, or brake failure is probable/likely.

Lacking brake fluid front driver's side

You mean leaking? It should be easy to see where it is leaking. Often it is the rubber hose attaching the steel tube from the car frame to the brake caliper on the wheel.
If you need to see exactly where the fluid is leaking out, just put a little fluid into the master cylinder reservoir, and look at the caliper on the wheel while someone presses the brake pedal. You should be able to see if the leak is from the hose, or the brake caliper.

The hose can be replaced for just a few dollars, but it is a job for someone experienced in mechanic work. Once the new hose is on (or the new or reconditioned caliper if that was leaking), the brakes must be bled, all four of them.

My brakes are almost to the floor and the emergency brake light was on intil i put fluid but it is leaking the brake fluid back out i can it leaking behind the tire the leak is on the front passanger side...

Not a sealant, but a rubber hose in the brake line going to the tire. If the hose is ruptured, and it probably is, the fluid will leak out. Take the wheel off to see. The hose will need replacing, then the brakes will need bleeding to get all air out of the lines.

Land cruiser 2005 troop carrier brake stopping power is poor

Probably there is a leak in the hydraulic brake line hoses connecting the master and the wheel cylinder hose. Also get the brakes bleeded to remove any air the system. also get the check valve of the brake booster checked and the vacuum hose.

Need to replace front left brake hose

There are a few reasons to replace the front brake hose on your vehicle. The most common reason that you would need to change the hose is a leak. If you have a leak in your brake hose, it can cause your brakes to malfunction. The front brake hose supplies brake fluid to your front brakes. The front brake hose runs from your brakes' master cylinder to your front brake calipers. When the brake calipers do not have the required amount of brake fluid, they will not push down the brake pads on the rotor and stop your vehicle. However, replacing the front brake hose on your vehicle is not a hard project. Though this is an easy repair, there are a few very important steps that you must follow to ensure your vehicle is safe. Follow these steps to replace your front brake hose and get your vehicle safely back on the road.

Step 1 - Set Up

The first thing you need to do for this repair is to jack up your vehicle and remove the tire. Place your jack stand in safe area so that the vehicle can not fall. This is a very important safety measure. Next, place a container under the front brake hose. This will catch the brake fluid for proper disposal.
Step 2 - Remove Old Hose

Before you can put on your new front brake hose, you have to remove the old one. To do this, take your line wrench and back out the hose fitting in the master cylinder. After you have that fitting loose, remove the fitting on the brake caliber. Once you have the hose loose, use a screwdriver to remove the hose clamps that hold the hose in place.
Step 3 - Installing New Hose

Now that you have the old front brake hose removed, you are ready to install the new hose. This is the reverse process to step 2. First, take your line wrench and tighten the hose fitting back into the master cylinder. Next, attach the other end of the hose into the brake caliber. Finally, reattach the hose clamps to keep the hose in place.

When tightening the hose, it is very important not to cross tread the fitting. This will cause the fitting to leak. Also be careful to not overtighten. You can easily break or crack the fitting.
Step 4 - Bleeding the Brakes

The final and most important step in the repair is to bleed the brakes, which involves getting all the air out of the front brake hose. This will make your brakes work properly. To bleed the brakes, you need someone to work the brake pedal on the inside of the vehicle. You need to stay near the brake caliber.

Have the person inside the vehicle pump the brakes 3 times and hold the pedal down on the third time. While he is holding the pedal, you need to back off the nut and the caliber. Do this process a few times until all the air is out. Then replace the wheel and test drive your vehicle.

I have replaced the front brakes and right front 98 ford tarus.

typically if you pump the brakes and it gets harder by each pump the master cylinder is good.Check all calipers for leaks, and rubber hoses..still no signs of leaks then open the bleeder screws on both front calipers and let them drip for about 15 minutes, and keeping the resivoir full of fluid..tighten the bleeders and pump them up..hopefully they work and all it was is a little air in them still.

How to remove a front brake hose for 1985 chevy 1/2 ton truck

You will find the clip for the front brake hose inside the frame.
Remove it and pull the hose out to remove it from the steel brake line.
The other end will have 2 gaskets at the caliper end....one above and below the hose connection.
Once the new hose has been installed.....open the bleeder on the caliper and remove all air as fluid flows into the new parts.
Only new fresh brake fluid should be added to the master cylinder to replace lost fluid.
Do not expose brake fluid to air for long periods.....it will absorb moisture.
You may have to bleed the other front caliper to restore a firm brake pedal.
After your repair hold the brake pedal down for a few minutes...it should not drop down.....and also inspect for leaks before moving the vehicle.

Brake line diagram

Brake Lines and Hoses
Double-walled steel line is used in the hydraulic lines between the brake master cylinder and the front tube connector, and between the brake master cylinder and the flexible brake hose at the rear wheels.
Double-flared brake lines provide good leak-proof connections.
When replacing hydraulic brake lines, hoses, or connectors, tighten all connections securely. After replacement, bleed the brake system; refer to Section 206-00 .
The wet appearance of the outer cover of the rubber brake hose is referred to as "sweating." This is a normal condition for neoprene rayon braid hose and is not a sign of leakage or cause for replacement of the hose.
