I have a daewoo nubira 1999. It is overheating and the fans aren't working. Could you tell me where the thermostat is so I can see if it is that. Thanks

The thermostat have nothing to do with the fans. The function of the thermostat is to open and close the valve to let thru or to stop the water to the engine.
Check the fuses, first of all, make sure all of them are in good shape.
If the fuses are OK, check the relays, sometimes some relays get stuck or damage.
Check the cables that goes to the fans. Unplug the cable and check for a pin out. If possible, check for voltage here.
And last, check the sensor. There is a sensor that when the car is at certain temperature, makes the fans turn on.
If everything above is OK, turn on the air conditioner, when it's on, both fans are suppose to work. If it still won't work, the fans need to be change.

Without looking up, the thermostat is always the end of the top radiator hose going to the engine top intake manifold or engine block. Usually a very easy fix. I do suggest to people all the time, to buy a Haines manual for their vehicle. Very cheap investment because they lay out everything for you to understand.

SOURCE: daewoo nubira transmission control module

Hi, the TCM is located at the passenger side kick panel (LHD), when you remove the kick panel you will see the ECU (engine control module) directly above it is the TCM. I hope this can help.

2001 daewoo nubria overheating

The Daewoo range of cars have two main problems with cooling system the thermo switch under the coilpack (2 pin) very rarely ever works properly over 20 c this means that your fans do not switch on when the car is hot, easiest way to check switch aircon on and the fans should work , if they don't .replace with an after market switch and relay can be bought from parts accessories stores , the radiators are by far too small they can be replaced with minor fabrication ( sheetmetal) by a Vt-Vy radiator v8 is best in all cars for overseas the Pontiac 2001-2006 check your measurement and with a couple of new hoses and a extension to the bottom hose the over heating disappears if there is milk coloured oil under your oil fill cap your head or possibly motor may need to be replace the best engine out of these engines is either the c20 sel or the c22sel

What transmission fluid is recommended for daewoo nubira 11 there is over heating even especially when travelling on the hills though I have changed the thermostat and have giving the fan direct function...

SAE 80W if manual transmission and DEXRON III if automatic. But overheating has nothing to do with the gearbox, it has to do with the cooling system where it might be few factors, best option is to take out the thermostat and than see how the car is behaving, I mean physically take out the unit so the coolant can pass free. Especially if you live in Ghana :)

Second overheating fan is not functioning is this a major problem

the second fan is normally used only to reduce the head pressure in the ac system, if the ac isnt engaged, it probably will not come on.
