A chime sounded in my car after parking and it drained my battery.

After parking car, getting out and removing some items a fast chime alarm sounded. When door shut didn't hear sound, but next day the car was dead. Any ideas?

Key alarm sounds even after key is removed. Drained battery.

Make sure your Battery is fully charged. A partially charged Battery can make the alarm system malfunction. Also, make sure the
regulator is charging the Battery. Some key alarm systems can
and will drain your battery if the Car is rarely driven especially
if there is a ignition kill switch wired into the system. The key alarm
system on my Mercedes 560SL used to drain my battery whenever
I didn't drive the car enough.

Jeep wont charge

wow no year stated, nor car. a willis jeep> 1945?
in 1945 it has no Alternator !
General answer , for all cars:
dead parked, or dead moving ?
no person can help lacking that critical fact,
sounds to me like, impossible question !
if it goes dead moving the alternator /gen system is failing.
if the battery goes dead parked, that means you have phantom drain.

we can find out which it is , with a $10 DMM meter at walmart
$20 is a better buy.

so if it drains over night check for lamps stuck on.(aka. dark current)
if drain driving, then.
check for 13.3 to 15vdc, running, engine.
if low, the alternator system (charge) is failing
at no time did i say any part was bad or to buy them. (i never do until i do tests)
drains here.
http://www.fixkick.com/drain/drain.html
works on all cars.

moving dead.:
there are other rare causes..
like the engine will not idle at 800 rpm or more.
see this, the alternator goes off line below that much.
and can drain a battery fast deep in the city at infinite red lights
and traffic jams.
that is why getting a car with hands on service by a real ASE
tech, works best , he /she sees all this in 5 min flat.
saving all this grief.
like , oh crud, it idles a 500! (that be it)
or charge lamp is on?

the old jeeps love to kill batteries, with old DC generators. (ask)
oh my, the OBD2 scan tool says my ALternator is off line.
or other DTC errors, about power lost to many places.
use a scan tool if car is newer.

1999 oldsmobile aurora headlights go off in middle of night and sometomes alarm

It sounds like you have a malfunctioning alarm system. If it is an aftermarket system, you should simply turn it off. If it is a factory alarm it would really be best to take this to a dealer. In the mean time, to prevent battery drain, you can disconnect the black battery terminal at night when you park the car.

its the battery in the alarm it has an alarm backup battery built in to the alarm when it fails it sets off the alarm, its in the siren part unit. its not usually replaceable but you can break it open and replace the battery or disconnect the unit, but the alarm will not go off, and it does not have a back up alarm horn.

Does the bcm control the alarm in a 2006 monte Carlo? I can't seem to get the alarm to go off. I've also noticed that I have no chime and turn signal sounds. I just recently purchased this car and...

The no chime and turn signal has nothing to do with the alarm. You have a issue with power supply to turn flasher and door chime. The alarm consist of The door ajar switch, body control module, front door lock switch, power door lock switch. You need to check your fuse for turn signal and the door chime

Needs a jump every day

It sounds like the battery has a dead cell in it. Replace the battery. If you have an alarm installed remove the in line fuse from the alarm and see if that stops the battery drain.

I have a 1999 Olds Intrigue, headlight left on alarm is stuck

The Body Control Module (BCM) controls the audible warnings. Refer to Body Control System Description in Body Control System for more information regarding the BCM.
The body control module (BCM) controls these reminders:
• Key in ignition reminder: An audible warning intended to remind the driver that the key has been left in the ignition cylinder. The BCM sounds the chime for this reminder at a rate of 150 chimes per minute.
• Fasten seat belt reminder: An audible warning intended to remind the driver at the beginning of the driving cycle that the driver's seat belt is unfastened. The BCM sounds the chime for this reminder at a rate of 50 chimes per minute.
• Fasten belts indicator control: A visual warning intended to remind the driver that the driver's seat belt is unfastened.
• Parking brake reminder: An audible warning intended to remind the driver that the parking brake has been left applied with the transaxle shifted out of PARK. The BCM sounds the chime for his reminder at a rate of 200 chimes per minute.
• Turn signal reminder:
An audible warning intended to remind the driver that the turn signal has been left on while the vehicle has traveled over 1.2 km (¾ mile). The BCM sounds the chime for this reminder at a variable rate (in unison with the turn lamps on) of 90 chimes per minute.
• Headlamps ON reminder: An audible waring intended to remind the driver that the headlamps have been left on. The BCM sounds the chime for this reminder at a rate of 200 chimes per minute.
• Last door closed locking confirmation: An audible warning intended to provide the driver feedback that the last door closed locking feature is active. The BCM sounds the chime for this remainder at a rate of 200 chimes per minute.
• Feature customization and diagnostics feedback: An audible feedback used when changing feature customization modes. Also used by service technicians during the BCM diagnostics. The BCM sounds the chime during the feature customization, and also during diagnostics. Refer to Body Control Module (BCM) for additional information.

2004 xtype jaguar key fob suddenly stopped working car locked and alarmed if i use key in the door will the alarm go off if so how do i stop it

Your key fob needs reprogramming, and yes the alarm will go off when you open the door, but you have enough time to put the key in the ignition which will prevent the alarm sounding. Car is usable until you get the fob sorted by locking and unlocking using the key.
