Please help,VW Golf 2.0FSI limp mode. I've had this problem for six weeks now, Have changed the throttle body, did a carbon Blast and still the same issue. Already spent $3000 with no result.

try changing the throttle pedal its a fly by wire and the piece inside the cab often gives problems .for whatever reason like its got wet .dust or it just gives up .
Hello! The problem is that the Electronic Throttle Motor (ETM) is in limp mode...Most common fault is that the mechanism is fouled with carbon...But first check connector for loose or broken wires...It has a 10 pin connector...Remove and clean motor and throttle body using throttle body cleaner...See attached drawing...It is a procedure to take the motor out of limp mode...

Hello, VW polos 1.0, 1.4. 1.6, suffer from carbon bulid up in the throttle bodys causing bad idling, esp the Bosch Mono-Motronic (Throttle Body Injection systems), a good clean with carb cleaner should repair the problem, also engine temp sensor replacement and idle speed control valve replacement can help idle problems.
