In my opinion you need to re-do the belt and line up the points, Does the vehicle run? If not don't try to turn it over to much, could possibly cause a bent pushrod, take the belt back off and align the points

Replace water pump v6

1. Drain the coolant.
2. Loosen, (don't remove yet) the 4 bolts that hold the water pump pulley.
3. Remove the drivebelt. In order to remove the belt you need to put a wrench on the tensioner pulley to decrease the tension on the belt.
4. Now remove the 4 bolts loosened in step 2.
5. Disconnect the upper radiator hose from the water pump and disconnect the bypass hose from the top of the water pump.
6. Remove the drivebelt tensioner by removing the bolt in the center of it.
7. Remove the water pump bolts. There are 6mm and 8mm bolts, a total of 12 bolts. They are not all the same length. Be careful to note which bolts go in which holes.
8. After all bolts are removed sometimes the pump will require a little whack with a rubber mallet to unseat the gasket. Never pry between the pump and engine block.
9. Before installing the new pump, clean all the old gasket material from the engine block.
10. Use RTV sealant on both sides of the gasket for the new pump.
And............ the rest is just reversing the above except that you can fully tighten the pump pulley before putting the belt back on.
I hope this is helpful.

How to remove acessary/air conditioner belt have diagram?

be very careful installing a new belt. Overtightening it will break the front off the engine crankshaft and ruin your engine.

Headlights on 1998 villager just stopped working. Both sides. High beams still function as do side lights. where do I start looking??

check the 2 relays in the engine compartment, but it may be your turn signal switch on the column. The lights go through there for high & low beam.

Switch is about $50 and just 2 screws hold it on. remove plastic shroud whcih has 3 or 4 screws from bottom of shroud.

1995 Villager Engine light is on

you may have a broken crankshaft snout. This was a common problem on 93-95 Villagers if customer replaced a/c belt and overtightened the belt tensioner.

Did you ecently have the belt changed?
Also, remove distributor cap and rotor ( 1 screw) and slotted plate/ Look for brown dust on optical sensors. If yes clean them and see if van starts. If it starts you will need a new distributor (ebay $200) as the bearing is going.
