Why does my engine check light come on at 2500 rpm plus and lose power then alls fine 1 minute later then light comes on again over 2500 rpm?

have the computer fr-flashed and see what happens

have the fault codes read and check for MAF/VAF sensor and accelerator position sensor.

Have you had the timing belt changed? It sounds like your timing is out of correlation. One tooth off is enough to cause a problem like this

I stopped to assist a gas powered Winnebago stuck on the highway a while back. The engine would run but not produce much power or rpm's.

The problem turned out to be a plugged muffler which seriously reduced the air flow to the intake system and as a result the power and ability of the engine to rpm's or power.

As modern day vehicle engines are computer controlled there could be systems that are not functioning properly...which should log a code and activate a warning light on your dash board. ODBII diagnostics is always the first step to take when trying to isolate a fault.

my check gauge light keeps coming on but i checked everything and everything is fine but when i am at a complete stop my rpm gauge is stuck between 1 and 2 is this okay

i would remove the coolant sensors and clean then to obtain the correct reading.

Have you checked your alternator?

The main relay also controls the transmission and will cause an intermittent interruption of power and indicates its going bad. about a $60.00 replacement cost. the relay is located under left side of dash.
