My 03 Trailblazer is stuck in low 4 wheel drive when you turn the drive select dial it flashes for 30 sec. or so wile the the low 4 wheel light stays on. Seams to make on attempt to change, anyone got any ideas. Thank Rob From NJ.

shift into neutral while the truck is running and switch it. it might take a second and make a thump but that should work.go into 2 high.being in auto seems to lock it up.

check the lubricant in the transaxle, if it is low it will cause the light to come on.

it may have come on because of battery change-check fuse and relay and actuator function if good have truck scanned some auto stores such as auto zone / advanced auto do it for free the code can also be reset after scan

The Transfer Case Control Module (TCCM) in this model year have been known to hang up, try pulling fuse #48 (4WD) in the rear fuse panel located under the left rear seat. Reinstall fuse and see if everything works OK, if not, you probably need to replace the TCCM.
