Download a Chilton's or Haynes service manual to the exact year, make, and model of your car; or pick one up from your local auto parts store. It'll have step-by-step procedures on how to remove the door panel and such.

You can try Google or finding a YouTube instruction video, too

SOURCE: 98 Mazda 626 Won't Crank, Won't Jumpstart, no power on anything

Either one of your cables isn't getting a good enought contact on the battery or solenoid, or the solenoid is bad, or relay for starter is bad.

SOURCE: My Mazda 626 Wont go into Drive

Sounds like you have lost the transmission. There are bands that clamp down to lock the transmission into the gear you want. They are controlled by a hydrolic unit located in the trans. The first thing I would do is have a shop pull the trans oil pan and see if it is full of chips of metal. If so you definately have a problem. At the same time they can look at the bands and see if one of them is broken. another cause would be that metal has gotten into the hydrolic valve body and frozen the drive band portion so it will not function. You may also get lucky and have it be an internal adjustment of the drive band. Good Luck, RAC

I need to install driver side mirror but can't find the screws to remove the door panel

Beside the screw you can see there are hidden clips along the lower sides and bottom. Slide a small putty knife under panel edge and slide to side until you can not move it any more. The "pop" the panel out. Start at back-bottom and work yourself around.

Clutch pedal goes to floor and will not come up on its own as normal. Clutch does not engage. Cannot shift gears. Happened suddenly with no leading indicators noticed, except a possible change in sounds...

check the fluid level of the clutch resovoir, try bleeding the system out and look for visable leaks.the line you need to look for should go into the side of the transmission, and lead up to a small round resovoir.

I need to replace the passenger sid mirror on a 98

On the inside trim, you can remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. You'll need to lift the door panel upwards in order to get it off the window ledge. Then you'll need to manipulate the panel and disconnect the door handle linkage from the door handle and disconnect the wiring for your controls. Then you can access the bolts that secure the mirror onto the door
