Engine management light forces engine into limp mode so you can accelerate etc.sometimes simple fix.some accelerator pedals are electronic.i fixed mine by turning engine off then pumping the gas pedal hard a few times to free up the linkage.restart the engine.if it stills misbehaves then you will need someone to run diagnostics on the internal ecu to bring up the fault codes.
Your local auto parts store will pull the code for you and give you information about the cause free of charge.

Hey i just had this same sounding symptoms with my 2000 ls. It turns out that the ignition coils were failing (2,6,8). Just replace all of them. All of them i got on eBay for 150 bucks when the garage quoted me 1100 bucks. Good luck man.

You have a engine ignition miss, poss defective coil, get the trouble code out of memory to find out which cylinder is the problem, Kragen does the trouble code test for free.
SOURCE: engine started to shake and rumble when u start it and in idle
I think you right in your thinking by replacing the plugs. My guess is that an injector is partially blocked. Remove the fuel pump relay and take the vacuum hose of the pressure regulator on the end of the fuel rail. Try to start the engine to relieve pressure from the system. Remove the air cleaner ducting. Open the fuel filler cap for a second to relieve any pressure in the tank. Disconnect the fuel supply and fuel return pipes to the fuel rail. Unbolt the fuel rail mount, disconnect the injector electrical connections and ease the injectors out. Take care with the wiring some of the insulation can become brittle. The injectors are held in the intake manifold by 'O' rings and likewise to the fuel rail; securing clips ensure that the injectors are held securely to the rail. Wash and back flush these babies until you are happy they are clean and free of obstruction. Also check the fuel pressure regulator, it is rare for these to fail but its worth checking. Dry everything off. Apply a little oil to the 'O' rings prior to reassembly. If the problem persists at least you can cross this area off your list.
SOURCE: Shakes a lot during idle. I have already replaced
Try taking it to Autozone or Oreillys for a free scan. At the very least, you want to know what the idle rpm is set at.
It sounds like you may have a leaking Intake manifold gasket. You would test for this with a water mist from a spray bottle. While the engine is running spray around the intake gasket and any Vacuum lines you see. The RPM will change when you find the leak.
I see you want to slow down the idle. If the idle speeded up on its own, that is a sign of an Intake leak. There is a part called a throttle position sensor,TPS, which is really your accelerator. It has a slight RPM adjustment slot on one side of the 2 mounting screws. Both screws must be loosened to move the part.
I am not understanding why, if the engine runs better when you press on the gas, would you want to slow the idle down (which is like not pressing on the gas)?
Anyway, I hope my solutons are very helpful to you and that you can fix your car. Maybe the scan at Autozone will help you.

Take the vehicle to Auto Zone or Advance Auto and ask them to read the fault code for you and they will do it for free and tell you what part you need. Most likely this is a Crank Position Sensor or cam Position sensor but the code reader will tell you which one so you don't waste time or money on the wrong one.
