Underneath steering column inside the cab . behind dash should have 4 plugs to relay do 1 at a time to make sire you install new starter relay correctly

Follow the positive battery cable to the starter relay. It is mounted on the driver's side fender. Disconnect the battery first to be safe, then simply unbolt the cables from the defective unit, put them onto the new unit, then remove the old unit from the fender, and install the new unit and reattach the battery. Here is a pic of what your relay switch looks like:

i have a 2001y reg transit tipper and i think the starter motor is going when i go to start it like grinds then some times it starts perfect
