It could be a seal that is worn/damaged or you have a fuel line leak above the tank also there may be a hole in the tank, although I can`t see it on a 2006 car but you never know.

Your fuel filler tube is leaking somewhere above the level of the fuel tank, If you lay on your back and look up you may see a flexible tube on the filler pipe, try to tighten the clamps or replace the hose. I hope this helps, Take care. Merry Christmas.
The filler breather seems to be leaking. This is a pipe that comes from the top of the tank to the fuel filler hose very near to the tank cap. Also check the filler hose neck itself.
I would double check that your fuel tank is sealed. Fuel fumes can be very bad for your health and can be very dangerous. Sounds as though the gas line may be leaking, or the fuel pump seal is leaking.
Yep,breather is necessary.Breather line is draining it under the car,less dangerous.Do not feel it to the top.Replace the draining line,dust/water may find a way into the tank,later u'll have to deal it (fuel filter,cloged fuel lines,fuel pump malfunction,fuel gauge malfunction).Track the problem eliminate the hipoteses of a cracked tank,loosed fuel pump.Cheers.
Code P0455 denotes "Evaporative Emmission Control System Malfunction".
The Evap system relates to petrol vapours which are recirculated and any excess fumes are absorbed by a little canister in the engine bay (look for rubber hoses going to a metal canistor).
This code generally triggers when it has detected a leak somewhere in the Evap system.
This could be anything ranging from petrol vapour leaking from the fuel cap (check for loose or incorrect fuel tank cap); faulty purge solenoid; charcoal canister is blocked/not working or a leaking hose etc.
You will need to check the entire system for a vapour leak somewhere, as leaking fuel vapour can be dangerous. Check the security of all rubber hoses.

That sounds like the petrol pickup pipe in the tank has an air leak and when the fuel is dropping down below the leak it is sucking in more air than petrol.
The most likely cause of that is either the gauge sender untit or the fuel pump itself leaking (if the fuel pump on that car is inside the tank).
This sounds overfilled to me. Liquid should not get to the canister, only vapors, look for exactly what separates and stops liquid fuel, somewhere along the vent line... Sometimes on top of fuel tank.
BUT, it sounds like you are seriously overfilling. Gas comes out of the ground cool, then heats up in your tank. Put much less fuel in gas tank.
Fuel no longer lubricates anything, so no issue with full time LPG, but starting is commonly an issue, and most designs start with gas and cross over automatically to LPG, after warmed up.
A lot of Nissan models have an inspection cover in the trunk that you can remove to get at the fuel pump in the gas tank. If not there, perhaps under rear seat, but should be in trunk. Locate it, remove it and have a look for possibility of broken or cracked piece of fuel line hose attached to pump, or look around for other source of your leak. Careful with trouble light near fumes!! Use a good flashlight if you can. Be sure to relieve system pressure before doing anything on fuel lines if that's the problem.
