I will drive it about a half hour turn it off come back about 15 min and it will do nothing. Lights work radio works but it will not start. nothing at the switch
If it will not crank, do you have power at the starter with the key in the start position ?

So if you have power at the starter and it won't turn, it could be the starter or something binding up in the engine.

put in " N"
turn the 4X4 switch on
Then put in gear..

Do the same in reverse when you take out of 4X4

I asked that becauses of the wiring for the tow setup. If the previous owner had uhaul or one of the other tow companies out there install the wires for the tow package they use a crappy little product that they clamp to the wire and push a pin that cuts the casing and connects the circuit. It also seriously weakens the cables, and lets water in to the wire. Since you have a tow package I'd focus on those wires back there sounds like you may have a short. Those pins do have some wire exposure when installed right and I've seen them bundled and taped on the early 2000's explorers without being individually taped first, which leads to shorts and non working turn signals and brake lights.

make sure window lock out switch is off.make sure you replace the 25 amp circuit breaker.replace the ACC delay relay.its tied in with power window circuit.
