Complicated what ever kind of scanner they use must have triggered something in the theft deterrent system, my only advice is to have it checked at a audi dealer or some one with the right diagnostic capabilities.

is it fitted correctly? If it is not fitted correctly it will do this. Have you checked the relay?

No sweat. This is a periodic reminder that your car is due for some sort of servicing, usually based on mileage. It may say "service oil" or "inspection" or some other indication along those lines. This is not related to a check-engine light, which tells you that you have something wrong with your car. The inspection reminders are manually resettable with the small stalks on the instrument cluster, and are meant to be reset each time a service interval is reached and that service is completed.
On my A4, the reset is this way: with the ignition off, hold down the stalk on the right, by the odometer, and turn the key on (don't start the engine). The display goes to "------". Pull out on the other stalk to reset it. Turn the key off, and release the right-hand stalk. When you turn the key back on, the indicator should be cleared. It may be different on your A6, but try it that way and see if that clears it.

16619 -Engine boost condition - Limit not reached. Check intake hoses/ connections for leaks. Check Turbo charger waste gate regulating valve/ waste gate working correctly. Must move freely when accelerating, won't achieve full boost if waste gate sticking open. Check Turbo impeller turning freely, oil feed pipe for turbo can get blocked causing impeller to seize. Engine compact, not easy to access these components.
SOURCE: Oil level problem with 2005 Audi A6 3.0 TDI Diesel Quattro
My 2005 A4 3.0 convertible audi is not a diesel, but I had a similar experience with a low oil signal going on and after checking the oil, which was sufficient, and replacing the dipstick, the light did not come back on until a subsequent trip. The light usualIy went on when I was close to the needing an oil change. I've had the car, a used one, for about two years, and the oil light minimum signal started behaving like yours early. About a week ago the oil pressure warning light came on. I don't know if there's a relationship, but if there is be careful. Audis of our vintage have a problem with sludge build up that damages the oil pump, which is a costly item. If you drive the car with low oil pressure you may seriously/fatally damage the car. I don't know if the sludge, if that's what you have, can be cleaned out, but I'd do it if it can be. My mechanic advised me to trade the car to a dealer rather than fix it. Hope you have better luck!
