When I drive about 30 kilometers my speedo cuts out, then a yellow light on my dash starts to flash every now and again, then when I apply breaks my car does not idle and then cuts out, I thought it was my crankshaft sensor, so I replaced that, but I still have the same problem. Do you think I should replace my speedometer sensor and my temp. sensor? It seems to me when the engine gets hot that's when the speedometer cuts out and then my car does not idle. Please someone help because I feel VERY unsafe in my opel.
No idea offhand to be honest i would need my head under the bonnet to know what wrong .could be anything from the gauze filter in the fuel tank on the bottom of the fuel pump becoming chocked up and leaving the car allows it to drop away to a faulty pump overheating or the contacts ,maybe even a ignition module overheating ,Best advice is ask a local mechanic to have a look for you as normally these early opel corsas with the 4 cylinder engine are bullet proof they are even valve free if the timing belt snaps .
SOURCE: When driving suddenly the engine cuts out.
I heave the same problem on my Corsa B 1.0 2000, engine cuts out, and whe it happens, I hear one of the relay under the right side of the dash buzzing. After a couple of minutes, starts like nothing happend.
So far I manage to find that the speed sensor is faulty, when I tap him the car stops. I order a brand new one, but I'm not sure that was the issue.
I order also a Opel Tech2 tester from ebay and it has to arrive next week, then I can see the error code.
