Many people are using the incorrect specification in auto transmission systems requiring Dia Queen SP III transmission fluids, this is due to confusion arising from the fact that many people believe DEXRON III is suitable, IT IS NOT SUITABLE FOR MITSUBISHI AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSIONS requiring SP III.

I have a 2005 Hyundai Santa Fe and I accidently put motor oil in the A/T oil spot. What should I do?

Don't run the engine at all. If it was started, the transmission pump will have pumped the motor oil all through the transmission-go have it professionally flushed. If the engine was not started, drop the transmission pan to drain the fluid, and get a new transmission filter. Put it back together and run the engine until the transmission fluid gets hot. Then change the fluid and filter again. After this, monitor the transmission fluid dipstick. If any traces of more motor oil in the pink fluid, do the drain and change filter a third time. (buy a case of transmission fluid-each drain and change will take about 6 quarts.)

Finding where to put transmission fluid can be a bit of a challenge on some cars. In fact there are some transmissions that you can't even add fluid to.But that's not the case on your vehicle.

First confirm the level of fluid before filling it.==========For exact transmission fluid replacing/filling procedure.Go through the list of help links below:-----its having complete step by step procedure.Click the link :----

I have a 2005 toyota corolla and need oil change

If auto you refill through the auto dipstick, If manual you will find a plug approx 1/3 - 1/2 way up the side of the g/box. The engine oil drain plug will be infront of the gear box (should be a 14 mm bolt) located on the engine sump.

My trany in my 1993 motaro is slipping its low on fluid what kind do i put in it

Mitsubishi Diamond SP-II, SP_III, or SP-IV is the correct automatic transmission fluid. There may be an aftermarket synthetic ATF equivalent available at your local auto store. Read the back of the bottle carefully synthetic Mercon V should say it will work in place of Diamond SP-III.

How do you put fluid in the transmission of an 05 explorer? accidently drained it instead of the oil for the engine.

The same place you drained it.There is a small torx screw in the center of the large plug that is used for filling the transmission. You will need to pump fluid into the small hole.To check the fluid the engine must be idling in park and the transmission should be 100 degrees (warm to touch)but not hot.Fluid should stream slightly from the small hole when full with trans warm and engine idling.Vehicle must be level.Good Luck!

Mitsubishi automatic transmissions can be finicky when it comes to there fluid. If it has not been changed for a while get some Diamond SP III ATF or a synthetic equivalent and change the automatic transmission fluid. It may clear up minor shifting issues that are caused by old tired fluid.

I drained out the wrond fluid

The transmission is bolted to the engine and if you drained fluid from a single drain plug, you probably drained the engine oil out, especially if it was black.

The transmission fluid, if Dexron II or equivalent, is red in color.

Check the fluid level of your engine to see if you drained the engine oil by mistake.

Usually, transmissions have several everal bolts that hold the drain pan and filter on.

Good luck, to you.

Transmission fluid

The motor doesn't have to come out but a proper transmission drain and refill requires the VagCom diagnostic software to monitor transmission temperatures (it's supposed to be done with the fluid at a particular temperature). You'll have to flatbed the car there though - you don't want to drive the car with the transmission improperly filled. Of course, you can drain all the oil out and replace it yourself - no worries there - but don't drive the car without the transmission being filled properly.
