My taurus turns over and gets gas and fire but will not start

Have you checked for codes in ECM ? How do you know that your anti theft is causing your no start problem ?

I have to put thus little bit of info in here. I just had to deal with an 02 Taurus that would not start. Managed to get it to start by holding the gas pedal to the floor and when it finally fired up it blew the DPFE hose off. After a while of it sitting in the garage I decided I would just keep the gas floored and after a few seconds it came around. My suspicion is that because this car only runs for a few minutes at a time, moisture accumulated in the CAT and froze when temperatures got into the single digits. My conclusion is make sure the vehicle get to operating temperature during cold weather to prevent exhaust freeze-up.

That is a question with a VERY wide range of possibilities. The FIRST thing you should do is to scan your Powertrain Control Module(PCM) to check for any fault codes, then DIAGNOSE accordingly.

Maybe the fuel injectors are not firing even though there is pressure. Try to add gas to the intake manifold through the throttle body ( a few tablespoons) or use starting fluid to see if it starts that way for a few seconds at least. If it does, then the injectors are not firing.

Also, the timing may have skipped.

Try the fuel pressure regulator. Or it could be injectors.

Sounds like the MAF sensor isn't working. you can have spark and fuel but with out the car knowing how much air is coming into the motor it won't start.

whats the fuel pressure, has the fuel filter ever been changed, good that its getting fire but now it needs something to burn, also check your air filter, make sure its not plugged.

Check your fuel injecters

buy a can of carburator cleaner, spray into duct area while cranking engine. Does engine try to start(fire)? If so, find inertia switch (button in trunk). 'reset button just by pushing it. If this switch was triped, fuel injectors or fuel pump will not operaate. If spraying carb cleaner does not help starting then fuel pressure should be checked to rule out fuel delevery problem. AS a precaution, make sure your useing the correct key(original). Security problems also shut off fuel.

Remove the gas cap when it does this. If you hear a woosh sound the tank vent isn't working properly. Essentially your tank has turned into a vacuum.
