I have a 2001 Audi A6 and the driver side door takes about 10 tries to shut it. Inside if you roll down the window and shut it by pulling gently from the outside of the door it works every time but it's the only way i can get it closed. Outside I just have to keep trying until I get it. .?????

The latch is usually adjustable. Loosen the latch fasteners, pull the latch outward while retightening the fasteners.

Replace the switch. It has lost connection to the up position.

SOURCE: i drive a 2000 audi quattro A6. my driver side

sounds like the hard wire attached to the key lock may be off or broken..this happens a lot when a car is "slim jimmed" or used a coat hanger to unlock the door.. or it could be from just normal wear.. the door panel will have to come off the door to be able to look inside and see what is happening.. simple, inexpensive fix for someone with a little mechanical ability

Since I have to guess based on your description, I would remove the inside door panel (carefully) and determine if something with the door latch mechanism has come loose or otherwise disconnected. You will likely find something cracked or broken that when the window is down there is less stress on that part, but window up may put too much stress on the part. It would be difficult to diagnose without seeing inside the door.

Check wire harness between driver door and body for broken wires.Wire harness bends , when door opens and closes so it may brake the wire or two inside harness.

2001 audi drivers side window will not roll up

can you hear the motor working? its possible the motor/regulator assembly has given up. have someone who knows audis' look at this and if the repair is too pricey given this joyous time of year(LOL) have them at least bypass the motor and prop or secure the window into place until the neccessary repairs acn be made. happy holidays.

How do I replace the driver side view mirror?

On the inside trim, you can remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. You'll need to lift the door panel upwards in order to get it off the window ledge. Then you'll need to manipulate the panel and disconnect the door handle linkage from the door handle and disconnect the wiring for your controls and mirror. Then you can remove the bolts securing the mirror to the door

The most common problem would be the speakers as opposed to the actual output channels of the stereo. You can test this by taking a known good speaker and trying it at the "bad" locations

1999 A6. Driver's side window goes down but then

there are many reasons , but the most common is a worn and week motor or a ground problem giving too low voltage , or the window guides are worn too thin . best thing to do is put a voltage meter on the motor and roll up the window , look for voltage increases or voltage drop .

Learn to remove front door panel to access window

You'll need to remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. If needed, you can pull back the weather seal (can't reuse it, but it's not that important) and you will be able to access everything inside the door

Audi A6 door mirror

roll down the window. and take the interior panel off. on the inside of the door at the morror there is a plastick cover that clips out(remove it) there is foam on the iside remove that aswell. you sould see a bolt or a skrew once loose the mirror will come out. while loosening it hold the mirror in your free hand they some times just fall off.
