Climate does not require me to use seat heater/a.c. often, 3 yrs in service, only 57k mileage. Seat element seldom used due to temperate climate and garage kept, but do have a vague recollection of "burnt wiring odor" that went away promptly about 2 months ago. most probable- Fuses? Fault with wiring? Heating element? Hoping to save on diagnostic time. Thank you. R Packett

When this was happening on my Envoy it ended up being the seat heaters control module that was going out. About $600 a seat on mine. Just wish my repair center found that out before they replaced the seat heaters twice.

well i think this thing has a 5/50 warranty so first pose these issues to a dealer and see if they are covered. then get into the owners manual there will be a legend or key for the fuse panel. usually the inside of the fuse panel cover also contains a legend for the fuses. the seat heaters most likely also have a circuit breaker as they are nothing but toasters you sit on.

I have the same problem except the back of mine works but the bottom doesn't. Passenger side is fine. Let me know what you find out if you could.
