When i turn my dodge intrepid on it makes a thunking noise. when i put it in gear it does the same thing. when i drive it the thunking gets louder and faster. it doesnt pick up speed that well (loss of horsepower). and im thinking it might be a piston or the crankshaft. i havent oiled it in a while but as soon as i herd the thunking i did right away but i think its to late.
Sounds like you already know what is wrong with it. It most likely needs a motor, or a rebuild.
