SOURCE: Driver side headlight bulbs burned out on 2003 VW Golf

There is a light cover in front of the battery... take this off and then look for the metal clamps holding the light housing in.  (I say clamps, but they're more like glorified paper clips on either side of the fixture.)  Press in on each side, pushing the clamps towards each other and pull the fixture out.

SOURCE: fuel pump replacement

You can actually get to from the trunk, or hatch. Pull everything out and you will find a plate with bolts, take that out and boom you'll see the top of the gas tank. And the fuel pump. Unhook the lines, and staps, turn it, pull it out, becare ful of the sending unit, it is damaged easily. If the new pump doesn't have a sending unit ou have to take it off and put it on, most of them do come with a sending unit, unless the are high performance models. Installation is the process in reverse. Not a bad job, one thing VW made easy, want a challenge try and change the tranny fluid (it's a sealed unit)

Will a 2 litre vw Golf 2011 diesel fit a 1.6 diesel 2011 Golf

I wouldn't suggest it. It wouldn't be just an engine swap that you unplug and unbolt and and then reverse...thats not to say it can't be done with a lot of thinking and work and reprogramming that's usually for vw experts...your better off to keep looking at other wreckers for the exact motor

I need to know where the fuel pump relay (J17) is for a 2004 mk5 vw golf

You very likely are going to replace the fuel pump, well i recomend you check the vw recalls on failing fuel pumps or related fuel lines and fasteners.
I own a 2004 vw golf and began to leak fuel at the fuel delibery nipples right out of the fuel pump. the problem is that either there tension on the nipple and cause to crak thus leak, or the fuel line is short and pulling toward the rear right tire causing it to crak and leak. the
Volkswagen Golf Recall 05V154000 is the solution
this recall is for a vw golf 1999-2000 but all the fuel pumps around vw 's 1999 up to 2006 have the same problem but you need to put acomplain with the NATIONAL HIGHWAY TRAFFIC SAFETY ADMINISTRATION'S VEHICLE SAFETY HOTLINE AT 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), OR GO TO HTTP://WWW.SAFERCAR.GOV.if your car is not under these recall. Fuse # 28 will stop the fuel pump so you can remove it

VW Golf engine rattle

You are experiencing detonation. Main causes are:

  • Low octane fuel - Use higher octane rating fuel.
  • Incorrect ignition timing - Readjust timing
  • Too high compression ratio(due to engine mods such as skimmed head or high compression pistons) - replace modified parts
  • Air/fuel mix too lean - Replace fuel filter and readjust.

1996 Golf: i replaced the clutch and than the engine overheat...

Best advice is buy an Official VW Repair Manual by Bentley, Publishers for your specific year and model. It is available from your local VW dealership network and most VW independent repair shops as with other VW internet web sources.

Vw golf diesel very sluggish after 3000 rpm

I would start with changing the fuel filter, with the tow truck that work on every day, I service them every two weeks, and the fuel filters come back full of grim the deisel fuel filters have to get changed more often with the fuel going around, try and stay away from pride gas stations, they have caused 8,000 in repairs to my trucks.
