Key code is on metal tag or plastic tag in glove box with owner manual packet. Also, dealer who sold car new has code in sales folder.
ALso, call Ford Customer service. They may have it. Kind of old though, but try.

Please I just changed out my 2004 Ford Escape ignition switch does this model come with a pats one 1 system or pats two 2system n how to program new key because lost orginal keys

From the 2004 owners manual...

"Replacement keys
If your keys are lost or stolen and you don’t have an extra coded key, you will need to have your vehicle towed to a dealership. The key codes need to be erased from your vehicle and new coded keys will need to be programmed. Replacing coded keys can be very costly. Store an extra programmed key away from the vehicle in a safe place to help prevent any inconveniences. Please visit an authorized dealer to purchase additional spare or replacement keys."

You need two functional administrative keys to program a third otherwise you will need the services of an automotive locksmith technician or have it hauled to a dealer.

I have a 98 ford expodtion lost the key and tor into the ignion plz help.

OK. So you lost your key. People do that all the time. That's what spare keys are for. But you apparently don't have a spare. So you tore into the ignition to try to get the vehicle to start. Now you are realizing that the vehicle has safeguards to prevent just that from happening (we call what you tried to do "hot wiring"). The reason that the car is designed that way is to prevent theft and therefore reduce insurance costs. Money saved in order to have a spare key.

So you made some stup1d mistakes.

  1. You lost your key.
  2. You didn't have a spare key.
  3. You destroyed your vehicles ignition system
And now you want help. Unfortunately, you can't fix stup1d.
Call the dealer, get it towed, have it repaired, get a new key AND a spare. And after you spend that $1000.00, consider it a lesson learned.

How to start a proton savvy with no chip in key housing

If not the battery (replacement) then check to make sure the transponder is not missing from the remote. Should be a small plastic to slot in the key. If still not working then you may need to reprogram it. It can only work if you have 2 set of keys to put in the ignition:

[1] Take the key that needs programming put it in the ignition and turn to the on position and then press and hold in the alarm reset button..

[2] While still holding in the reset button turn the ignition off and remove the key..

[3] Re-insert the key and turn the Ignition to the ON position.

[4] Release the alarm reset button and then press it in once..

[5] Now with the ignition still switched on take hold of your SPARE key and press the lock button on your spare key..the alarm should "BEEP" once..

[6] Now press the Lock button on the key that has lost its programming..alarm should "BEEP" again..

[7] Switch ignition off.

Try that it should work

1996 Renault Clio Club 1.2 Petrol. Batteries replaced in ignition key. Unable to start car. Battery ok, engine turns over ok but will not fire up. Prior to replacing the batteries there was no proble

You have either put the batteries in wrong or you have lost programming, see the dealer if you are 100% sure the new batteries where not installed incorrectly. What about the spare key???

12v volt feed at injectors, loosing groung to injectors from computer, insalled computer, same problem, installed ignition control module, same problem, once started with either, stays running and starts...

Hello: Check the battery ground cable (tight, corrossion) check where the cable attaches to the engine. Check all other wires (grounds) that attach to the block. Check for broken wires. Check all grounds from the ecm (ecm engine control module) to the battery, engine head/block there should be no/very little resistance. The injectors are hot all the time with the key on (12v) the ecm provides the ground to fire the injector.

No money! need key code 1990 buick lesabre

Contact your local Ford dealer. They may make you tow the car in or just provide proof of ownership (registration, bill of sale etc) that has the VIN number on it. They can find the right key with the VIN. Hope this answers your question. Best of luck.

The car wont start

Try your spare key, or the valet key in the ignition.
I had this problem too, the key would unlock the doors and release the trunk but would not start the car. Took out the spare key and it started. Go figure? Hope it works for you. I was off to get a new starter put in the car when my GREAT brother in law said, try to valet key, maybe the key lost its memory. He was right and saved me a boat load of money $$$$.
