SOURCE: radio pin code

Try this:"disconnect the battey cables and touch them together for ten seconds. reconnect them. turn key to accessory or on. make sure radio is off. press and hold radio presets one and six. continue holding and turn on radio. it will display the serial number in two parts. for example "u1234" and "l4321". drop the u and l and you have the serial number. call the dealer with the number and they can look up the five digit code. you may have to prove ownership of the car though."

SOURCE: Acura TSX 2005 radio code

I had the same problem when I had my battery replaced. I guess the mechanic tried to enter the code.... and after 10 tries he failed of course, and the system locked itself and gave the ERROR message.
All you need to do is leave the system on for an hour (Yes, leave it on... meaning you most likely need to drive around for an hour... and sit in the car for an hour doing nothing....) Then the ERROR message will change back to CODE (you will hear a long beep)
Now you can enter your code. Remember do it slowly. Enter the key 1 by 1... Do not input quickly, otherwise it will not work
Hope this helps!

Same problem with a 2002 3.2 TL; was jus advised that when OnStar switched from analog to digital it causes memory dump; dealer says it requires "hard reset" which costs ?$?; Acura 800 number says disconnecting antenna may/may remedy.

Hi, this sounds like the starter solenoid, but on your car the solenoid is integrated with the starter motor assembly. You will need to remove the starter and have it tested at your local parts chain.

If you have the proper equipment, you can test at home as indicated below. Please let me know if you have questions, and thanks for using FixYa.

NOTE The factory sound system has a coded theft protection system. It is recommended that you know your reset code before you begin.
  1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the precautions section.
  2. Remove or disconnect the following:

Negative then the positive battery cables Intake manifold Starter cable from the B terminal Black/white wire from the S (solenoid) terminal Harness clamp and holder Two bolts that mount the starter to the transaxle assembly Starter
To install:
  1. Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure.
NOTE When installing the heavy gauge starter cable, make sure the crimped side of the terminal end is facing out.
  2. Enter the anti-theft code and radio presets.

My radio has an Erre message on the dash. How do I reset this?

Enter the lock code; sometimes is in the last pages from owners manual; if not, must visit the dealer with the VIN number and ask for this. The lock code is unique for each vehicle, anyone could sell you for internet.

Hope this helps.

2004 Acura TSX Radio and A/C PROBLEMS

You might have to reset the Radio: Here is how it has to be done without costing you a bunch of money - Every time the battery is disconnected this has to be done: If you have jumped or replaced the battery at anytime this will happen. You have to get the serial number off the radio by removing it or partially taking it out to see the numbers on it try not to remove any cords. With the stereo out (to make sure you get the right number off of it) call an Acura dealership with the number and they will give you the another number to enter into the stereo and directions on how to punch the numbers in. Make sure while you have the stereo out you write the serial number down and keep it in a safe place also the number that the Acura dealership gives you because if you sell the car or if it happens again its easily accessible. Good Luck!
