Get a fuel pressure gauge and make sure you have constant fuel pressure. should be arround 30 lbs id double check with your local parts store. If you dont maintain good pressure your fuel pump could be failing.v
try this it may work as i dont know your area, as im in uk but remove the air temp sensor on the filter box and see if that works, if it does it could just need replacing or you need a remap to the ecu as its reading the wrong signal. could even be a bad connection to the ecu so might just need a good clean on the ecu connector.
The fuel pressure regulator on that Vortec engine is under the upper intake plenum, on the back side of the central fuel injector. It is held on with a slide clip.
Gm vehicles have been known to have faulty anti theft security systems. One of the symtoms of this is when your vehicle starts for 1-5 seconds and then stalls. A good way to know if this is the problem is when you see a light on the dash that says SECURITY. If you see this light flashing or on solid, this explains the van not starting. You should really have the van scaned before you put any more parts on it. Autozone will scan it for free. You could spend alot of money just putting parts on it. If you can come up with a code/DTC for your problem then let me know and I will be better able to help you. Good Luck
