This link will help you understand the problem. I have no solution for you. But at least this will help educated you. You can try to bypass your key and ignition anti theft. Its worth a shot.

immobiliser on monterey is behind and left of the glove box.cable runs under the dashboard and breaks into the wiring loom to the right of the steering column.its easier to bypass from here as you can see which wires have been broken into and theyr coloured.(all the wires at immobiliser are black) Half hour job.!
