The plastic intake should have this sequence molded into it somewhere, and even the corresponding cylinder numbers in front of their respective holes. Have fun, and thanks for posting on Fixya.com

SOURCE: I have an 06 gmc envoy denali xl and i'm having a rear end saggin

There is a bulletin for this problem. You have to go to the dealership and have the air spring sensor calibrated.Only the dealers can do this calibration. It does not take long to calibrate a vehicle.Unless they find a different problem.Hope this helps.Good luck.

Starting point for firing order

Starting point is always cylinder 1, on straight engines at the front, on V engines front left. The gear wheel or crank sensor will register at TDC or just before. TDC can be found with a pencil inserted in the spark plug hole of cylinder 1
So for a 4 cylinder engine it's 1,3,4,2
6 cylinder straight, 1,3,5,6,4,2,
Cant remember the v engines but it's always left right etc.and from end to centre.

Can you tell me what the firing order is when looking at the motor of a 2005 GMC Envoy SLT 4.2?

Firing order is 1, 5, 3, 6, 2, 4. Number 1 cylinder is up front. Why would you need the firing order, this engine does not have plug wires, each plug has its own coil pack, each coil pack is controlled by the computer.

Whats the firing order diagram for a 2004 envoy 4.2 connected to a obd it says number 3 cylinder not firing need to know which plug?my son replaced several not all! hard to get 4.2 straight 6 cyl

The number 3 plug is the third one back from the front of the engine. They are numbered in order 1,2,3,4,5,6 front to back, this is the cylinder numbers not the firing order. Firing order is 1-5-3-6-2-4 .
