On a 4.8L 5.3L and 6.0L there are 2 Knock sensors. they are under the Intake manifold. The Intake Manifold has to be removed to replace either or both of the Knock sensors. The Knock sensors on this motor thread into the top of the Engine On a 4.3L the Knock sensor is at the rear of the engine on the drivers side next to and under the Distributor. It it held on to the engine by a bolt that runs through the middle of the Knock sensor.
Yes there is only one and it should be located under the hood on the passenger side below the cylinder head. There should be a oil pressure sensor on the drivers side, rear of the engine mounted in the block at teh end of the intake manifold.

Your knock sensor on your 3.8 litre engine is under the hood, passenger side, rear engine area, below exhaust manifold, mounted in engine block.

Your EGR valve is located under the hood, center, driver side, mounted on upper center driver side of engine [I'm not alloted enough space to show you a picture of the GR valve] All the best,
If all connections are good "dry, tight, no corrosion" then yes. It should be a defective sensor. These sensors are piezo sensors and create a voltage when sensing a knock. A bank refers to a side on a V style engine, 2 refers to the rear sensor on your bank 2. Bank 1 should be the side with cylinder #1 which should be the cylinder closest to you on one of the sides. So your looking for the rear sensor on the opposite side.
more than likely, the hanger that connets your muffler to the underside of your car has rotted out through time. Take it to midas and tell them that your muffler seems like it's moving, and they'll do a free inspection.
if that's not the issue, it's quite possible that you need some new rear shocks or struts.
Or, your trunk won't properly latch. That's happened to me before.
