2000 VW cabrio. Horn. Beeps 3 times while driving also have gone out to find all windows down 3 or 4 times in the last couple of days. Just replaced battery because old one was completely dead after sitting for a couple months. Other than that the car is running fine

it sounds like you may have a couple of problems, 1. the windows: faulty switch panel or sticky individual window switch. 2. the horn beeping once and the doors locking is most likely due to a faulty immobiliser module or key actuator.

Do you have an alarm system in it they can malfunction and do that. If that is not it there might be a contact in the steering wheel that are bent or sticking to each other never the less fails the horn is by the lower right front bumper there is a wire that hooks up to the horn unhook it. thanks

yes their is a factory immobilisor and a dead battery can upset it quite easily ,sorry but as its the antitheft then its a dealer only job

On some models, the Engine Control unit has a power supply relay. These relays some times get internal dry solder points. After driving for some time the the solder will get hot and separate. When it cools down it makes contact again. You will have to replace this relay or open it up and re- solder the solder joints. The relay is usually located on the main relay station in position 3. the relay station is located behind the right dash panel.[right hand drive vehicles]. You may need to refer to a manual for your specific model to find the exact location of the relay.

What happen next?

Look for a junkyard around that sells the window or buy one online for dirt cheap and then put it in yourself. It is not that hard just time consuming.

You need to replace your fuel pump but take it for a scan before the replacement.

Either you threw a belt or the water pump isnt not circulating. You can drive to the shop. Just becareful. When you see it getting hot shut er down and let er cool. If you get it too hot you could cook the motor.
