I have a 1990 Ford Ranger 2.3 engine. The truck died a few weeks back like it had run out of fuel. I replaced ignition module and then replace Mass air flow sensor. Vehicle started up then died after about 10 minutes. I took it in for diagnostic and ended up replacing cranshaft position sensor. Vehicle has been running fine all day. Went out this evening for a ride, vehicle ran good for a bout 30 minutes then died. It started right back up and died again after 30 seconds. I would have to turn the ignition switch all the way off for it to start. Couldn't just crank crank it from the on position but had to turn key all the way back then it would start. It all ways started but only like I described and would die whithin 30 - 40 seconds. I need help. Also, It has been raing today but I have good spark all the way around.
If it were me I would start with the idle air controll sensor, this is a real humdinger on fords. also clean out your throtle body really good.
let me know
