Water temp gauge for 1997 saab 900s in not working.

The water temp. gauge for my 1997 saab 900s is not working. I have replaced the water sending unit, but still not working. A mechanic told me that the acual guage inside the panel may not be working. Can this be replaced, if so how would i look it up, I have not had any luck finding one on line. Is there something else that I can look for that may be causing it not to work. I have tried looking for a fuse, but no luck. Please help.

Just got saab 900s 2.0 petrol non turbo on a 98 plate ,is the old motor with dizzy cap ,fuel gauge stuck on full and no temp gauge ,whers best place to start look

The fuel gage is most likely the fuel level sending unit inside the fuel tank, the temp could be wiring or the temp sending unit on the engine, try that first.

97 Saab 900s. my dash gauge lights and gauges would flicker and not work randomly for a while and now they dont work at all. The other lights on the dash work fine and the car works fine. just the gas...

Try to tightin up the light bulb. be aware the only way to do this is to remove the hole dash. if you do not know how to do this i would recamend you take it to a shop are ask me to go through step by step directions.

Where is the thermostat in a 900s oh. 97 saab 900S Well my car was overheating and I notice in this model car if you need your oil changed it will overheat. So there is oil and all my fluids are full...

Oil change interval has nothing to do with operating temperature. If your coolant is full, feel the upper radiator hose, when the vehicle is up to temp. if cool , thermostat is back from that hose,

Look for air bleeds, and read owners manual, some cars have coolant bleeds. Also, heater on high when filling coolant or risk bubbles...

My thought is that your fans may not be kicking in. They should cycle on and keep temp low enough. test them.

Radio code for 1997 saab 900s

I'm afraid if you don't have the code, you will have to take it to a local dealer or specialist radio store to have it re-coded.

Fortunately, it's not expensive.
