SOURCE: 93 ford tempo v-6 replaced fuel pump but will not start did reset

by chance the replacement pump you used was it a "CARTER" brand I had one of those quit the same day installed it! also be sure that the feed wire on pump in tank is connected properly! you can change them by taking out the back seat of car!! the seat has 2 clips good luck

look in the trunk... either it has side panels that can be removed... or you will see a hole in the side of the lining with a sticker that points out where it is.

Yes that is correct. The only filter is inside the fuel tank, and as I recall its a non exchangeable filter. It just gets replaced with the fuel pump when it goes bad

The inertia switch is located in the footwell behind the trim on the right-hand side of the vehicle, forward of the front door post, below the fascia. A finger access hole allows the driver to reset the switch.

2010 volvo s40 trunk lid mirco switch replacement

The microswitch for the Volvo S40 trunk lid is located inside the trunk lid panel. On the left side of the trunk lid panel, you should be able to locate the access panel for the microswitch. Remove the panel to access the switch. Disconnect the electrical connector from the switch and remove the mounting screws to remove the microswitch. Install the replacement switch by tightening the mounting screws and reattaching the electrical connector. Test the switch to make sure it works correctly and then reinstall the access panel.

Instructions

- 1 Open the engine hood by pulling the hood release latch located on the lower kick panel on the driver's side of the Volvo S40. Lift the hood up and prop it on the hood prop.
- 2 Locate the steering shaft that extends from the firewall to lower suspension located inside the engine compartment, by the front right wheel. Halfway down the shaft, you will locate the power steering pump. The pump is a black container that bolts to the driver's side of the engine block. On the top, you will find a cap that says "Power Steering Fluid."
- 3 Look to the left of the cap. Bolted to the power steering pump is the thermostat temperature sensor. The sensor has a black round cap and a black wire extending out of the top.

I'm not familiar with JAG but MOST cars have a switch in the front and the back that is called a fuel shutoff switch. I am going to say you may have bumped the switch and it shut off the fuel pump. The switch on most cars is located under the bumper area or around the grill area. Your best bet is to go to the local auto parts store and buy a repair manual for your car and start looking the the electrical schematic section to locate where the Fuel shutoff switch is located.

hi from uk if you look at engine from the front of car the auto fuel shut off device is located /attached to the left hand side of the bulkhead it has a red or yellow button on top you just press down and you may hear cluck ? however try starting then ? hope this helps

Support the car in case the car should slip and fall. Look just in front of the axle and you will see a in-line filter. fuel pump has`a`cut-off switch that needs to be reset. Two most common locations are in the trunk on the sides, or on the passenger side kickplate under the glovebox on the right side of the inside passengers right foot.
