I have a 2010 GMC Acadia,it's still under warranty,best to go thru them and get a extended warranty,stay away from them t,v,adds and others,they got me,went out of buisness,paid 2200.00.Look on line and see if this is a common problem,we been having water pump problems,they replaced for free,has a recall,check your antifreeze.

Im not sure if this can help, but my 2000 gmc sierra was idling badly. Replaced Fuel Pressure Regulator and my truck runs like its brand new. My service engine light was also on.

Change your Thottle positioning Sensor. My 93 lesabre did the same thing and i changed the TPS and it stopped.

yes it could be a fuel related problem, when was your last tune up, it could also be a spark issue, old or corroted spark plugs will sometimes not put out the correct amount of heat to ignite the gas correctly till it runs for a while, if the check engine light isnt lit, it will almost have to be something simular to this

Classic signs of idle air control not able to cope with sudden engine loads. Cleaning should resolve this. Remove ducting from air cleaner to throttle entrance. Spray with carb. choke cleaner or WD40 spray and wipe back to the alloy finish. clean the the throttle plate and push the throttle open with your fingers and clean in behind as best you can. Clean the passageways to the idle air control valve. Remove the valve and give it a thorough clean up. Reassemble and it should all be good.

Cleaning the throttle body is certainly the right thing to try first. Make sure you clean the throttle plate as well.
