Get a professionally rebuilt pump. Don't try to mess with rebuilding yours, it isn't worth it. I know the rebuilt pumps are high ($450) plus, but it will pay off in reliability and performance.

Ok did you change your fuel filter and make sure that diesel is getting to the injectors, and check the diesel pump to see if it's working properly but I think you should change the fuel filter and it should run good
you should start by the fuel injection pump. the engine may not be getting diesel or at least diesel under pressure, this is why is starts with 'quick start'. you should also check for leaks in the fuel hose (pressure side)if there is a priming pump, check for hissing sound there it could indicate a defective priming pump introducing air in the fuel system.
There is a cylnder coil for each cylinder prob failed Check obd code
Other likely causes are: Spark Plugs and Wires Fuel Injectors Internal Engine Problems such as Low Compression, etc. Less Common Causes Faulty Computer Coil or Coil Packs Crank or Cam sensors or reluctor wheels Faulty O2 (Oxygen) Sensors
Hi there the crank, cam and diesel pump gears normally aligned in a clockwise numerical order with centre idler gear between all gears.1 for crankshaft,2 for camshaft,3 for diesel pump. Centre idler gear has one of each number which aligns in centre of double digit of the same number marked on meshing gears ,Due to spiral gears marks will only align properly when seated fully. diesel pump has a notch which aligns on back of timing cover.

, proper way is to use diesel timing light and set pump canter to correct position(assuming good pump ) , close enough way , accelerate to half rpm , turn pump canter (angle) till smoke out tailpipe turns from black to white(or vice versa) then move slightly back , tighten pump down and retest , might be needed to go back and forth a few times to get it just perfect
