SOURCE: oil leak on manifold passenger side - v6 4motion

Get a can of Gunk and clean the engine according to the directions there (please do read them), with attention to the area around where the oil leak is.  Once you get the motor squeaky clean, you will be able to trace back to where the oil is coming from.  It may be running down the underside of a hose so you will need to look carefully.  You can do all this in the driveway.  You will probably have to let the engine get to operating temp before it will start leaking.

SOURCE: Overheating still has coolant, white part blew out

  • White smoke out out the tail pipe means you might have just blown your head gasket. White smoke is water (antifreeze) burning with the oil.

05 kia sorento ex see white smoke burning but not out exhaust and I cant seem to pin point location or what the smell is.

hi
White smoke is burning engine oil.
mostly when Engine oil is changed or topped up
little oil get dropped and when engine heats up. it burns the oil.
but once oil is burnt then no more smoke is there.

unless you have a leak
thanks

I hamve a suzuki 2006 reno with only 42k mi and it just started blowing white smoke out of the tail pipe and leaking oil out of the bottom of the motor on the passengers side behind crankshift

get it serviced?
if you dont know what oil leaks are or how serious
then get it serviced now,
stop driving it. or burn up a good (hope) engine.
call a tow truck, is best possible end results.
but
open hood, and turn the oil filter CW to tight.
look for road collision damage under car, first.
google how to tighten a filter, oil, see wix filter page, read.

2001 Oldsmobile intrigue is leaking water from the rear of the motor it also has white smoke coming from exhaust. But the smoke is only sometimes. It smokes a little when I first start it and then...

sounds like your head gasket is leaking if you have a coolant pressure tester, or know someone that does, by using this when your engine is cool, you could watch the antifreeze drip out, also pull your oil dip stick, check to see if your oil is bubbly, and if your oil level is high, only it would be high if you don't lose oil, burn oil and the level was fine to.start the other thing is might be, is your heater core, its on the passenger side, back on the firewall, there are two hoses that are about a inch in size that go into the firewall , then into your heater core, look around this area to see if any antifreeze is there, then go inside your car on the passenger side, feel the carpet to see if it is wet with antifreeze, if so, then your heater core is bad but with the white smoke, I am more to say its your head gasket, don't use any of those quick fix treatments that you put in your coolant, it will only do a temp fix and clog up your heater core, and radiator,

WHEN I DRIVE IT FOR A COUPLE OF HOURS IT STARTS TO MAKE A CLATTERING SOUND AND THEN SMOKES OFF PASSENGER SIDE OF MOTOR ONLY.

a few things i can think of
1. cooling fan is not working
2. bad thermostat
3.blown headgasket
the smoke is probably due to a small oil leak on that side of the motor
